Shockwave is easily the more interesting of the Legacy Wave 2 Core Class figures. He does noticeably reuse a few engineering techniques from the last attempt at a small Shockwave, the Combiner Wars version, which is most noticeable with the legs. Besides that, he uses the Siege figure as a basis for his appearance, and it’s charming how he has a version of his Siege alt mode which is fully integrated into his robot mode body. The engineering is as to be expected from a Core Class figure at this point: not the most articulated but has a straightforward transformation. If anyone’s looking for a small Shockwave I recommend this figure a lot, it’s got a lot of charm. Ironically this figure might have better value for money than the Siege version.
